Commission is a great way to give students in your church a hands on chance to participate in missions. Commission provides a youth camp feel and face-to-face encounters with people who need to know God. Commission will challenge all who participate to a new level of commitment in their personal relationship with God. – Commission Staff Member
What is Commission?
Commission teaches students to challenge stereotypes and be who Christ has called them to be by providing the opportunity to use their unique gifts and talents to make an impact on individuals and communities. Students will also be impacted by a volunteer staff that desires to help them grow in their walk with Christ and work with fellow believers to show the love of Christ through their actions. Too often students are sent the inaccurate message that they can make a difference for Christ when they are older, wiser, better. Our faith becomes real to us when we put it into action and Commission is an opportunity for students to learn to serve God where they are right now.
Commission is dedicated to teaching students to reach out to community members and make an impact while showing students how to grow closer to God. This is accomplished primarily through developing strong interpersonal relationships, organizing and planning charitable relief projects, and encouraging students through worship, Bible teaching, and prayer.
